Our church home is more than a building. It is a place where faith is formed, community is strengthened, and neighbors are welcomed with care and compassion. The Renewing to Welcome, Nurture, Serve capital campaign invites us to care for this shared space so that it can continue to support worship, learning, service, and community life, now and for generations to come.

“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”
1 Peter 4:10

The Purpose of This Campaign
Caring for our building is an act of faithful stewardship. Over many years, essential maintenance and repairs have been delayed as resources were directed toward more immediate ministry and mission. Now, these needs can no longer wait.
This campaign is grounded in a simple truth: maintenance is ministry. When our church home is safe, accessible, and well cared for, it becomes a stronger foundation for worship, hospitality, learning, and service. Renewing this space allows us to continue responding to God’s call with creativity, generosity, and faith.

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit… To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
1 Corinthians 12:4,7

A Building Shared With the Community
Our church home serves far beyond Sunday mornings. It is a trusted and welcoming space for the wider community, offering stability, support, and belonging.
Each month, our building hosts:
-
Girl Scout Troop meetings
-
Cooking classes for individuals with disabilities (The Freedom Center)
-
Recovery and support groups
-
Youth groups for our congregation and Casa de Oración
-
Casa de Oración worship, other activities, and office space.
-
Our preschool, which nurtures young children and families
In addition, the building is a hub for community events such as the annual yard sale, Bible studies, weddings, special worship services, and other gatherings that bring people together across generations and backgrounds.
By renewing this space, we ensure that it remains a place of welcome, healing, growth, and connection for the entire community.

“Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together.”
Hebrews 10:24–25

Renewing for the Future
This capital campaign is an investment in faithfulness and hope. It honors the generations who built and cared for this church home before us, while preparing the way for those who will worship, learn, and serve here in the future.
When we give to this campaign, we are not simply repairing a building, we are strengthening a shared ministry and renewing a place where God’s love is made visible.

So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all.”
Galatians 6:10
