Every year, the folks of Good Shepherd collect gently used items to raise money for local organizations and individuals in need.

This is a great way to find new-to-you treasures to bring home, and help support our community right here in Frederick and in the world!
Donation Guidelines
Bring your gently used items to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church! Volunteers will be available at the designated dates and times to collect and sort items.

We will accept the following items:

Adult and Children’s Clothing - in good condition!
-
Furniture - in good condition!
-
Household goods including small appliances - in working condition!
-
Bicycles & Sporting Equipment - in working condition!
-
Toys, Puzzles, Games and Stuffed Animals - with all pieces and in good shape!

Jewelry, Backpacks, Purses, Shoes – in good condition!

We will NOT accept the following items:
-
Damaged or worn-out items – clothing with rips (that is not fashionable), stained, missing buttons or broken zippers, furniture with significant damage, stained or smells are not accepted

Underwear & Bathing Suits – unless new with tags attached

Items in poor condition – NO dirty, rusted in very poor condition

Electronics - large console model TV’s, TV’s older than 5 years old, built in appliances (like ovens, dishwashers, etc.) are not accepted

Hazardous Materials - paints, chemicals, gas or kerosene heaters are not accepted due to safety concerns

Automotive Parts – tires, wheels, batteries and other auto parts are not accepted

Mattresses & Box Springs – Due to the potential for bed bugs and other transmittal diseases these are not accepted

Food & Medicines – Not accepted

Baby Items – We do not accept car seats, cribs, highchairs or strollers NO ACCEPTIONS
