Animal Therapy Ministry
"And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good."
Genesis 1:31
What We Do!
We help spread the love of God through therapeutic interaction with God's creatures. The ministry plans animal-therapy-based outreach that fosters kindness, connection, and comfort. We also engage in outreach that supports the responsible stewardship of animals and the environment.
How to Get Involved
Become A Pet Prayer Warrior
Join our prayer chain that prays for and gives comfort packages to people grieving the loss of a pet.
Become a WAGS for Hope Volunteer
Registered WAGS for Hope therapy dog teams can participate in WAGS visits to the church and in other WAGS activities in the community.
Donate Your Newspapers to Second Chance Wildlife Center
Bring your newspapers to the church donation bin in the narthex. The wildlife center uses the papers as bedding for injured wildlife.

Join us for a group walk with your pet while praying over your community
Participate in Project One Wag
Spread kindness and assurance that God is always with us by giving "Hug" heart tokens from your pet to others.
Volunteer to Help
Help with the Spring Pet Supply Donation Drive or the pet-themed Christmas Market
Impact Highlight
In 2024 we hosted a visit with the GS Youth Group and Junior WAGS for Hope therapy dog teams. We also delivered pet supplies to the Frederick County Animal Shelter and to the Second Chance Wildlife Center, and spread kindness and the message of Matthew 28:20 ("I Am Always With You") through the Project One Wag gift bag sale.
