Emergency Family Shelter

Good Shepherd is hosting Emergency Family Shelter from September 28th through October 12th.  The Religious Coalition will provide volunteers for September 28 – October 4, but we are responsible for providing volunteers October 5 -October 12.

Please note that the Community Room will not be available during those dates as we provide much needed services to these families.

Please watch for a collection box in the Narthex for items needed to help support the families while they are with us!

Volunteers Needed

We are still in need of more volunteers to come spend time with the families. It is a great way to live our mission statement!  Youth members are also welcome; call the church office if you would like to help. Volunteers need to register and have a background check done.

About the Program

Local churches partner with the Religious Coalition to provide emergency shelter for families in need. The shelter comes to Good Shepherd every quarter and we open up our Community Room to provide a safe, warm place to sleep.
