Lenten Bible Study
During the Wednesday’s of Lent Pastor Ron will be leading a study on the book Why Christian? For Those on the Edge by Douglas John Hall. In a passionate and personal way, Hall probes fundamental religious questions and wrestles with the cogency of basic Christian convictions about Jesus and God, about religious belief and the human predicament, about inauthentic forms of Christianity, about what is missing in human life today. Sign-up sheet posted in the Gathering Area. Study to be held Wednesday, February 24, March 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th, 7-8:30PM in the Fireside Room. Books are $19.00 per person and may be ordered in advance.
ELCA Good Gifts/World Hunger Appeal Lenten Calendar
40 day Lenten Calendars are available in the Narthex.
Each day has wonderful suggestions to help us be more aware of the needs of others, and all that we have that we take for granted! When it suggests giving an offering to a specific cause, you could wait and give once at the end of the 40 days. This is a great family project!
